For more than 27 years, the Y of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy has hosted the annual Richard Hale YMCA Memorial Charity Golf Classic. Founded by the late Richard “Dick” Hale, the golf classic was established to help ensure the widest possible access to our programs and services.

Proceeds from this outing support the Send a Kid to Camp Program — the single largest scholarship assistance program provided by the Y to the kids and families in our community each summer. In 2023, $180,000 was provided in camp and child care scholarship assistance, which helped 250+ children experience the life-changing power of Y summer day camp.

Help plan our 2024 Golf Fundraiser which raises funds to provide scholarships for camp.

We need people like you. Activities involve planning the outing, thinking of new and creative activities we can incorporate into the day, soliciting golfers, foursomes, sponsors and auction items and anything else to make the event a success.
