The 28th Annual YMCA Livestrong 5K Walk/Run, Supporting Cancer Survivors, A Janice Garbolino Memorial Event

Race Information 

Funds raised support the Livestrong at the YMCA which is a program offered for cancer survivors at no cost to them to help them recover and regain their strength, confidence and so much more.  See below for more information or call us if you want to participate in our next program offering. 

7:30 am - Registration 
Bib and T-shirt Pick Up (T-shirts are not guaranteed and are no longer available for day-of registrants)
Bagels, Bananas and Snacks
Zumba
DJ
Inflatable Games for kids and adults

If you have pre-registered and have picked up your bib and t-shirt ahead of time, there is no need to check in on race day. 
Pre-registration T-shirts are on a first-come, first-serve basis. T-shirts are not guaranteed for day-of registrations. 

8:30 am - Shot Gun Start for Runners followed by Walkers

Immediately after the Race

• Top 3 Male & Female in 10-year age groups starting at 14 and under and going to 80+

The YMCA 5K Run and Fun Walk is held in memory of Janice Garbolino, former Health & Wellness Director of the Metuchen Branch YMCA, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2002. The annual 5K run/walk supports the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge, and South Amboy in providing a free exercise program for cancer survivors called LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA which assists those who are living with, through, or beyond cancer to strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits. 

AWARDS :

Medal for top 3 overall for each gender: male, female, and non-binary
1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals for male and female in the following age brackets
