Camp at the Centenary Early Learning Center

Hi, I’m Olivia Whitmer! My Y story began in infancy through Y childcare, and the YMCA has been a meaningful part of my life ever since—from learning to swim to making lifelong friendships. I hold Bachelor’s degrees in Childhood Psychology and Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from Marist College. With 13 years of camp experience, including eight with the YMCA, I’ve proudly served as Camp Director at Centenary since 2018 while also teaching transitional kindergarten during the school year. Creating a safe, joyful space where campers feel a true sense of belonging and make lifelong memories is the heart of what I do.

Olivia's Favorite Camp Memory: My favorite camp activity is duck hatching! Every summer, we incubate and hatch ducklings. Getting to have baby ducks at camp for a week is always magical.
