A MESSAGE FROM CHRISTINE TOLLEY, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
My name is Christine Tolley and I am the Director of Operations of the Metuchen Branch YMCA. I have been fortunate to work for the Metuchen Y for 27 years in a number of roles beginning in Preschool, After School Care and Camp Munsee and then transitioning into Senior Program Director and now my appointment as Director of Operations in 2019. Since then, I have taken on new Y initiatives such as Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA), Coordinator Approach to Child Health (CATCH) and Togetherhood, an initiative that connects people of all backgrounds to plan and carry out volunteer projects that address a real need in our community. All because I truly believe in the Y's mission.
When you visit our Y, you will immediately feel a sense of belonging. We take great pride in having staff members that truly care for you and are committed to helping you reach your goals. We know it's hard to find balance in your busy life and we are here to help.
At the YMCA, strengthening community is our cause. The Y strengthens the foundations of communities and families through key areas of focus: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We are committed to this cause because a strong community is achieved when we invest in our children, health, neighbors and our mission.
The Y is for the entire community and is open to everyone. We are here to serve you, your family
and all of our communities while developing your spirit, mind and body. Welcome to our Y!

Hours of Operation
Fully vaccinated members are not require to wear a face mask. Unvaccinated members should wear a mask at all times. We encourage all members vaccinated and unvaccinated to social distance.
These are certainly difficult times. I recently made the decision to return to the YMCA for my personal training sessions. I am so glad I made that choice. My trainer, Tom Zimmerman, is really putting me through my paces and it is helping me with my overall health, flexibility and mobility. I have to admit that initially I had some concerns about Covid exposure and I am very happy with the safeguards being taken by the Y. From the temp check on the way in, to the abundance of cleaning supplies, to the attentiveness of the entire staff in wiping down common surfaces, my concerns were well addressed.
Thank you to all of the Y staff.
