Hi, I’m Shyby Joy! I’ve been part of the YMCA for nine years and have dedicated my career to education and working with children. I earned my B.A. in History and Art History with a minor in Fine Arts from Kean University, and my M.A.T. in Elementary Education (K–8, Social Studies) with an endorsement in Teaching Students with Disabilities from Monmouth University. My journey has taken me from teaching Pre-K to serving in leadership roles at the Y, and I currently teach Pre-K in the Edison School District. Ever since I was young, I’ve wanted to be a teacher, and I still love creating meaningful, engaging experiences where children can learn, grow, and have fun every day.

Shyby's Favorite Camp Activity: My favorite activity is the parachute. There really is no age limit to this activity, and it is simple to run, but a lot of fun!
