YMCA ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBER, KENNETH DRINKARD
The YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge & South Amboy (MEWSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Board member Kenneth Drinkard. Ken was appointed to the YMCA Board of Directors at their October meeting.
Ken currently serves as the Vice President & Associate General Auditor for New York Life. Joe was born and raised in Perth Amboy, and was a member of the US Army where he served for six years and worked as an application developer. He attended North Carolina A&T and started his professional career working as a Technology Risk professional in both consulting and with the financial services industry. Ken currently lives in Fords, NJ with his wife and two children.

Besides his role as Board member, Ken will also serve on the YMCA’s Audit Committee.
YMCA Board members are responsible for establishing policy and strategic direction for the Y, as well as creating opportunities and establishing relationships that advance the YMCA’s mission and cause. “Each board member brings a skill set and a deep-seated commitment to our communities to the table, allowing us to expand our reach into the community”, said Mike Lackland, Chairman of the Board. “We know that his role at the Y will be a productive one.”
