Starting September 1, YMCA and community members can participate in a free, weekly ESL program at the Metuchen YMCA.
The class will work with non-native speakers of all ages and levels to learn the formal grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation of spoken and written English while giving them confidence in the common usage of the language to communicate clearly and comfortably with native English speakers.
“We are so excited to bring this program back to the Metuchen YMCA,” says Metuchen YMCA Director of Operations Christine Tolley. “Thanks to our volunteers, we can offer this program for free and support those in our community who want to learn or strengthen their use of the English language.
