The YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge, South Amboy and the YMCA at the Community Center is excited to announce that Mucinex, a Reckitt brand, donated $20,000 to the South Amboy YMCA branch to support local youth sports and programming. Through its “Small but Mighty” campaign, Mucinex seeks to showcase small organizations like the YMCA that are making a large impact in their community, just as Mucinex® Fast-Max Cold & Flu provides powerful relief with one small dose.
Thanks to Mucinex, South Amboy YMCA can purchase tools and supplies for the campers, before and after-school care students, swim lesson participants, youth basketball players and more!
The Y engages its youth all year round, and this donation allows it to offer greater and more robust offerings for youth in the colder seasons, encouraging members to get out and get moving.
“The generosity of Mucinex® allows the South Amboy YMCA to support its youth in an even greater way,” says Vice President of Operations Kyle Strohman. “We have since been able to revamp our birthday parties, purchase new equipment for our sports classes and have new games and art supplies for our campers and before and after school care students.”
