MEY-SABY Manta Rays

MEY-SABY Manta Rays

The Metuchen-Edison/South Amboy (MEY-SABY) YMCA Manta Rays Swim Team is open to kids and teens between the ages of 6-18 years of age interested in competitive swimming. They participate in the NJ YMCA Swim League with several dual meet teams, as well as in the USA Swimming meets. Team members are organized into training groups based on an evaluation of individual ability by coaching staff. The Manta Rays Swim Team is a year-round program broken into three sessions, Short Course, Spring Training and Long Course. The season begins in September with evaluations and practice group assignments. The focus is on developing stroke technique, discipline, training and team spirit. As members of the MEY-SABY Swim Team, our swimmers establish lasting friendships, develop self-esteem, and foster a sense of responsibility through goal setting.

Edison Otters

EDISON OTTERS

The Edison Otters is a summer swim team for children ages 6 to 18 years old. This program is designed to continue to work on strokes swimmers already know and to improve their times while competing at swim meets. This program is not the same as swim lessons. All new swimmers and current swim team participants will be expected to swim at least two strokes the appropriate length (minimum 25 meters) of the pool for their age requirement. Parent participation is required for our swim meets and fundraising activities.
