The YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge & South Amboy announced today that it was awarded a $50,000 Love Takes Action Award from the New York Life Foundation.

By being part of our Youth & Government Program, teens learn to become responsible, civic-minded citizens who will be better able to understand and get involved in political and public affairs, develop public speaking skills, improve their writing and research skills and become empowered to advocate for their beliefs.

On August 28th, Governor Murphy visited Edgar Learning Center to announce that he is dedicating $250 million from the Coronavirus Relief Fund to provide support to families with school-age children and supporting the re-opening of child care centers.

YMCA of MEWSA Facilities Reopen September 1st!
After closing its facilities on March 17th due to safety concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19, Governor Murphy’s order closing gyms has been lifted and the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge & South Amboy will reopen its branches on Tuesday, September 1st.
